With more than 20 years of experience in the mental health and social services field, extensive experience as a Licensed Professional Counselor, and over eight years of experience providing clinical supervision, Monique S. Johnson, LPC-S, RPT-S, provides a supportive, structured, and growth-focused supervision experience.

Supervision is designed to provide a safe and professional environment where counselors can ask questions, process challenging clinical experiences, strengthen counseling skills, receive constructive feedback, and develop greater confidence in their abilities. Clinical supervision is available for Associate Licensed Counselors (ALCs) working toward meeting the requirements for

Licensed Professional Counselor (LPC) licensure.

The transition from graduate student to independently licensed counselor requires continued learning, professional development, accountability, and support. Supervision provides an opportunity to connect counseling theory with real-world clinical practice while developing the skills necessary to become an ethical, competent, and confident professional counselor.

As a supervisor, I bring extensive experience in clinical counseling, private practice, program development, psychological assessment, teaching, clinical training, and  counselor supervision. ---Supervision provides guidance and support; however, each supervisee is responsible for remaining informed regarding current Alabama licensure      requirements and ensuring that all required documentation, clinical hours, and application materials are completed appropriately.

LPC-S Clinical Supervision Fee:

$375 per month

RPT-S Play Therapy Supervision
Supporting Mental Health Professionals Pursuing the Registered Play Therapist Credential


Play therapy supervision is available for eligible mental health professionals who are pursuing the Registered Play Therapist (RPT) credential or seeking to strengthen their knowledge and clinical application of play therapy.

As a Registered Play Therapist-Supervisor (RPT-S), I provide developmentally responsive supervision designed to help professionals increase their understanding of play therapy theories, techniques, skills, ethical responsibilities, and clinical applications.

Play therapy supervision provides an opportunity to explore how children communicate through play and how trained mental health professionals can use therapeutic play to support emotional expression, healing, behavioral growth, and healthy development.

Play therapy supervision is designed to be engaging, experiential, educational, and supportive. Supervisees may participate in case discussions, demonstrations, role-playing activities, reflective exercises, review of play themes, skill development activities, and exploration of play therapy resources.

As your RPT-S, I will:

Internship is a collaborative learning experience. While supervision, education, and professional guidance are provided, interns are expected to take an active role in their development by seeking opportunities to learn, asking meaningful questions, applying feedback, and accepting responsibility for meeting all university and internship requirements.


Internship Placement Information:

---Internship opportunities may be available for eligible graduate-level counseling students based on organizational needs, supervisor availability, university requirements, and the student’s professional interests and readiness.

---Placement is not guaranteed. Interested students may be required to participate in an interview and submit documentation from their college or university before approval.
