Individual & Family Therapy | Restorative Counseling Services, LLC

Individual & Family Therapy

Support for children, teens, adults, and families who are ready to heal, grow, and move forward, with a licensed clinician beside you every step of the way.

Who we work with

Life brings seasons that are hard to carry alone. Whether you are navigating grief, anxiety, depression, a major life change, stress at work or home, or the lasting effects of trauma, therapy offers a safe, confidential space to sort through what you are feeling and build a plan for what comes next.

We see individuals of all ages, and we work with families who want to communicate better, repair strained relationships, and support one another through difficult transitions.

Taking care of your mental health is just as important as taking care of your physical health. You see a doctor when your body needs attention; it is just as reasonable to see a therapist when your mind and heart do.

What you can expect

Starting therapy can feel like a big step. Here is how the process works so there are no surprises.

  1. Reach out

Send an inquiry or give us a call. A member of our team will follow up to hear what is bringing you in, answer your questions, and match you with the clinician who is the best fit for your needs and schedule.

  2. Intake and first session

Your first session is a conversation, not a test. Your clinician will get to know you, your history, and what you hope will change. Together you will set clear, realistic goals for your time in therapy.

  3. Ongoing sessions

Sessions are typically 50 minutes and are usually scheduled weekly or every other week at the start. You will learn practical skills, work through what is weighing on you, and check in regularly on your progress.

  4. Growth and next steps

As you reach your goals, sessions may become less frequent. Your clinician will help you plan for what comes next. And it is perfectly okay to keep a therapist in your Rolodex. Life happens, and even after you have resolved the issue that first brought you in, having someone you already know and trust to call makes the next hard season easier to face.

We walk with you through the process

Healing rarely happens in a straight line. There will be sessions that feel like breakthroughs and sessions that feel hard. Our clinicians are committed to staying with you through all of it.

  • You will work with a licensed clinician who is trained, experienced, and invested in your growth.
  • Your goals guide the work. We check in with you regularly and adjust the plan as your needs change.
  • You set the pace. We will encourage you to stretch, but never push you somewhere you are not ready to go.
  • What you share stays confidential, within the limits required by law, and we will explain those limits clearly.
  • For children and teens, we partner with parents and caregivers so progress in the office carries over at home.
  • If your needs go beyond what we offer, we will help connect you with the right resources rather than leave you on your own.

The approaches we use

No single method fits everyone. Our clinicians draw from several evidence-based approaches and tailor the work to you, your age, and your goals.

Cognitive Behavioral TherapyCBT

Helps you notice the thought patterns that drive difficult feelings and behaviors, then practice healthier ways of thinking and responding. Widely used for anxiety, depression, and stress.

Trauma-Informed Care

Every clinician works with an understanding of how trauma affects the mind and body. Sessions move at a pace that feels safe, with an emphasis on stability and trust before deeper work.

Dialectical Behavior Therapy SkillsDBT

Practical tools for managing intense emotions, tolerating distress, staying grounded in the moment, and communicating needs in relationships.

Family Systems Therapy

Looks at the family as a whole, not just one person. Helps identify patterns, improve communication, and strengthen the relationships that hold a family together.

Solution-Focused Therapy

Builds on what is already working. Together you identify strengths, define what "better" looks like, and take concrete steps toward it.

Person-Centered Therapy

A warm, non-judgmental relationship where you lead the conversation. Being truly heard is often where healing begins.

Play Therapy

For younger children, play is the language of feelings. Our Registered Play Therapist uses toys, art, and games to help children express and work through what they cannot yet put into words.

Grief and Loss Counseling

Compassionate support for the loss of a loved one, a relationship, health, or a way of life, honoring your grief while helping you find footing again.
